Two-headed monster
Kentucky has two of the top transfers in college basketball in Sahvir Wheeler and Oscar Tshiebwe. Wheeler, a transfer from Georgia, is an assist machine, and Tshiebwe, a transfer from West Virginia, leads the country in rebounding

The Vanderbilt Commodores are 1-11 against the #18 Kentucky Wildcats since January of 2016, but they’ll have a chance to close the gap a little bit Tuesday. The Commodores and UK will face off in an SEC battle at 7 p.m. ET at Memorial Gym. UK should still be riding high after a victory, while Vanderbilt will be looking to right the ship.

The point spread favored Vanderbilt this past Saturday, but luck did not. It was close but no cigar for Vanderbilt as they fell 72-70 to the South Carolina Gamecocks. Forward Myles Stute put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 19 points.

Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the game between the Wildcats and the Georgia Bulldogs this past Saturday was still a pretty decisive one as UK wrapped it up with a 92-77 win at home. It was another big night for UK’s forward Oscar Tshiebwe, who posted a double-double on 29 points and 17 rebounds.

Vanderbilt is now 9-5 while UK sits at 12-3. A pair of offensive stats to keep an eye on: Vanderbilt has only been able to knock down 40.70% percent of their shots, which is the 30th lowest field goal percentage in college basketball. The Wildcats’ offense has more to brag about, as they they come into the contest boasting the 11th most points per game in college basketball at 82.9. So the cards are definitely stacked in their favor.
